WP2HTML.EXE & READER.EXE

USING WP2HTML.EXE

METHODOLOGY
1. Create document in any word processor.
2. Save file in WordPerfect 5.1, 6.0 or 6.1 format.
3. Type WP2HTML JUNE.WPD
4. Press ENTER KEY and observe:
5. Two files: JUNE.WPD and JUNE.HTM
6. View JUNE.HTM into a browser
USING READER.EXE

METHODOLOGY
1. Select Start Button
2. Activate Reader.exe
3. Save it to the Windows 95 Bottom Row.
4. Activate your WordProcessor or Browser.
5. Highlight text.
6. Select Edit, then Copy and Listen

EXAMPLE PROBLEM:
1. A document needs to be typed and reviewed.
2. One person uses WP6.0 DOS.
3. Person two uses Word for Windows 6.0.
4. Person three uses WordStar 7.0
5. None of these persons works in Hypertext.

 		EXAMPLE PROBLEM:
1. A document is to be reviewed/edited.
2. Use your Word Processor Word 6.0.
3. Or, use an Internet Browser.
4. You’re tired of editing documents.
5. Your eyes are very tired.
SOLUTION:
1. Create document/save in WordPerfect 5.1 format.
2. Use WP2HTML to convert Doc1.wpd to Doc1.htm.
3. Others review/edit doc1.htm in a browser/editor.
4. Others return doc1.htm to originator.
5. Originator reviews/edits modified document.
6. Originator saves document in final WP5.1 format.
7. Originator converts WP5.1 format to Hypertext.
8. Originator archives doc1.htm and doc1.wpd.
9. Originator finishes workday before noon.

 		SOLUTION:
1. View file into Browser/ Word Processor.
2. Activate Reader.exe.
3. Highlight desired text.
4. Use Windows 95 Clipboard.
5. Select Edit then Copyfrom Top Row.
6. Use Reader: correct mispelled words.
7. Use Reader: change sound of words.
8. File your nails. Relax.
9. Close your eyes and listen.
KEEP IN MIND:
1. Hypertext expertise is not needed.
2. Conversion: Doc1.wpd took two seconds!
3. Many documents may be converted each working day.
4. Document creation/modification doesn't cause fatigue.
5. No new equipment needs to be purchased.
6. Browsers should be standard equipment.

 		KEEP IN MIND
1. A Windows 95 Word Processor is required.
2. Highlight, edit, copy uses Windows’ clipboard.
3. A sound card is required.
4. Earphones may replace speakers in the office.
5. Many documents may be listened to.
6. Reader is also an appointments secretary.
