Chapter 95, Part 1
Ivy Walls, Book 6D avid looked at his backside, ran his hands over his buttocks and asked Daniel, “How does this look? I really like these slacks.” He turned and looked over his shoulder at his reflection in the full-length mirror. “I think the Att have a future in tailoring clothes, don’t you?”
Ivy Walls,
Book 6 “Looks great, Dave,” Daniel said, standing at the open compartment door. “I like your pale yellow sweater, your gray slacks, gray socks and shoes and I wonder what material the Att came up with for these shoes?” He adjusted his pouch between his legs.“Hurry up.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 David turned and straightened the bottom of his pullover, aligning it straight across his middle at the bottom. “There, that looks better.” He walked to the table and, picked up his money clip, small change, and tucked a large white handkerchief into his white shirt’s top left pocket.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Looks like you got one swollen tit,” Daniel said, as David paid attention to Daniel’s remark and stood in front of the mirror.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 He smiled. “Geez, Danny! You’re right,” he said, jerking the handkerchief out of his pocket. “Do you have a handkerchief I can borrow?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “No.”
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 “What the hey, then,” he said, and placed his folded handkerchief on the corner table. “I won’t need one.” David turned and looked at Daniel. “You know, the Att used to dress all of us alike, but now they give each of us different colors, different material....”
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 “They’re probably expanding their technical expertise as Dex would say,” Daniel said. “Come on, Dave. I’m hungry.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “I am too. Turn around and let me check you. You tend toward being sloppy”
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 “What? I don’t agree with that statement. I’m neat most of the time.”
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 “Yeah, but you do have those occasions when you look like you’ve spent the night rolling in the hay or being beaten.” He watched Daniel turn slowly, liked the soft tan color of his sweater, pale tan slacks, approved of the cut, around his hips, and nodded his head at the tan socks and brown saddle shoes. He took a good look at Daniel’s shoes. “Hey, Danny, did you know that the brown part of your shoes, the part that’s sewn across the instep of your shoe, looks like snake and maybe dyed snake at that?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Never noticed,” Daniel said, shifting his weight. He frowned at David.
Ivy Walls,
Book 6 “I think out pants are too tight, but I like the way they feel. Not complaining, just commenting. Let’s go,” he said, as he pulled Daniel toward him and shoved him out the door into the passageway. David closed the door to their compartment and started to follow Daniel forward to the dining car. He stopped, went back to the compartment door and locked it. Daniel watched him and nodded agreement. David passed Tom LaBorde’s compartment and tapped the door as he went by. Ivy Walls, Book 6 The Delta Rhos walked through their coach and bounced up and down, enjoying the rhythm of the train, crossed into the next car, a pullman, noticed some of the green curtains were still drawn on most berths, and greeted passengers engaged in various activities. David could not help but enjoy the material of his slacks as it rubbed his hips and buttocks as he strode through two more pullman cars before they entered the forth car, the diner.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Hey, we’re in luck. No one’s waiting,” Daniel said, turning to David. Their bodies bumped as they stood close together to one side of the passageway. The headwaiter glanced noticed them and smiled, held up his hand, and motioned for them to come to him. Daniel walked ahead of David. David noticed the glances that Daniel got from some men and women of different ages, who watched his backside move toward a table for four.
Ivy Walls, Book
6 Every time. Every time, he thought. They can’t leave that kid alone. Can’t keep their eyes off him. Well, he has a great physique. Slim and hard like Delta Rho men, well, most of us anyway. He’s built like me. We’re once in a lifetime. He chuckled at his thoughts.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 Daniel stopped at a table for four patrons and waited for the headwaiter, who slid out an aisle chair for Daniel. David approached the table as Daniel settled into his chair and placed a bright white linen napking on his lap. The headwaiter placed two bills of fare, outside the aisle place settings, and pulled out a chair for David. David knew that eyes were staring at his body, as well as Daniels. He enjoyed the attention. The Att are clothing designers second to none, he thought. Their clothes do indeed caress the male body. Wonder what their designs do for women?
Ivy Walls, Book 6 He smiled while he enjoyed a great feeling everywhere over his body. He sat across from Daniel and settled in feeling the material stretch. He marveled at the wondrous feeling of support. He pulled up his trouser legs, to relieve the material’s tightness on his thighs. The most enjoyable slacks I’ve ever had. Let’s hear it for the Att! He realized, in his dealings with the Att, he never knew where they came from. He did not know what or where they called home.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 Daniel’s movements told David that Daniel pulled up his pant-legs too, leaned forward over his place mat, looked up at Daniel and silently said, "Wow!" He knew the meaning of Daniel’s smile and the effect the material had on both of them, as they opened their breakfast menus. David knew Daniel enjoyed the same feeling. “Quite a menu, isn’t it?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 They laughed.
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 He glanced at Daniel, who perused the long list of breakfast items and slowly ran his tongue over his lips. He’s hungry. Danny always wets his lips when he’s hungry and sometimes when he’s nervous. “ Danny, I think I’ll have the eggs and ham with toast, marmalade and coffee. Lots of black coffee.” He laid his menu down and looked past Daniel and noticed a group of pretty young women, pretty hats, wide open collars and patent leather shoes. Pretty. Yes pretty indeed. Let’s see: a blonde, two blondes, a brunette, one, two, three redheads. Just like me. Suddenly David heard Daniel’s voice.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “...and I said there must be pretty gals behind me by the way you’re drooling.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 David pressed his napkin against his lips and cleared his throat. “I’m not drooling, but you will soon be drooling beyond belief. There are six women, not far from us, having breakfast behind you and gads, Danny, they are really pretty.” He lowered his head, leaned across to his brother Delta Rho and whispered, “Three redheads, two blondes and one brunette and they are all really pretty.” He sat straight and pressed his back against his chair, as his face turned a soft shade of pink.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “One of them is smiling at you. I can tell.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 David’s blush deepened and he slowly held up two fingers.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Oh?” Daniel said, squirming in his chair. He wished he could see the pretty females. “Two of them are smiling at you?” His body temperature rose.
Ivy Walls, Book
6 David lowered his eyes, stared at the table linen and raised three fingers. His excitement increased too.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “No kidding?” Daniel asked.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Are they really pretty?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Gorgeous. Really Danny, these gals are pretty.” Danny watched David’s hand expecting to see four fingers. Instead he held up only two fingers.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “What?” Daniel said, squirming again. “Smile at them for crying out loud. Let them know they’re pretty. Do something. Why only two now?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “A young couple finished breakfast and left the dining car.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “What?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “There are still five women left.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Are they with men?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Two are and three aren’t?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Which three?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “One blonde, one brunette and one redhead are sitting together. The other blonde and the other redhead are with men.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 Emanual set water tumblers and a pitcher in the middle of the table and asked for their orders.
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 “Hi Emanual,” David said, not taking his eyes off the women two tables ahead of him. “I’ll have the eggs and bacon breakfast, toast, marmalade, eggs scrambled soft. Make it three eggs. I am getting hungrier by the minute.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 Emanual smiled and glanced down at Daniel. “Sir?” he asked.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Same thing, Emanual. I’m hungry too.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 David smelled a slight hint of oil of lavender and looked up at Emanual noticing that Emanual was amused by the way they talked about the young women.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Smell that?” David asked Daniel.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Yeah, what is it?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Emanual’s mother makes the stuff for him. I really like it. It’s as good as the colognes the Att make.” He looked up at Emanual and winked as he walked away from their table.
Ivy Walls,
Book 6 “What are they doing now?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “They’re all spreading their legs and showing a sign that says, ‘Danny, come and get it.’ What do you think they’re doing? They’re still smiling at me.”
Ivy Walls,
Book 6 “Want to skip breakfast?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “No and neither do you.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “It doesn’t really make that much difference.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Why? Why do you say that. For God’s sake, we have to eat.” He looked up at the ceiling and spoke softly. “Excuse me Lord.” He frowned at Daniel and waited for him to continue speaking.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Well you know the pills we take at noon? Every day?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Yeah.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “I really think that’s all the nutrition we need.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “I know what you mean, but I get hungry for regular food anyway, don’t you?”
Ivy Walls,
Book 6 “Yeah. Some habits are hard to break. What are the women doing now?”
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 David couldn’t resist the temptation to tease his brother. “Well, the pretty redhead just slowly placed her lips on her toast. She isn’t chewing. She just placed her lips on her toast and is staring at me without blinking.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Her lips are on the toast and she’s not blinking?” Daniel squirmed. “Don’t tell me she’s just staring.” He wanted to turn and look at the women, but hesitated, trying to control his manners.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Don’t gawk. I’ll explain everything to you.” David found it hard not to laugh as the three women got up from their table, glanced at David and Daniel and walked toward them. David knew they were leaving and heading back toward the rear of the train. He looked up as the three young women passed. He smiled at them, looked at their pretty eyes: hazel, blue, and dark brown. He felt it move between his legs. It’s trying to tell me something. David spent a few moments glancing at their eyes, their faces, their hips, and Daniel, as they strode slowly past them toward the rear of the dining car.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 David became more excited as Daniel glanced at him and up at each of the women as they walked by him. He looked at the back of their heads, glanced at David and said, “Gads, I would love to caress those cute little butts. Definitely high class stuff. Definitely.” David liked the way he and Daniel cared about women. He inhaled deeply and smelled their hair and perfume as it wafted around the area even after they had left.
Ivy Walls, Book
6 “That’s really nice stuff,” Daniel said, as Emanual set their breakfast plates in front of them. He poured coffee and set a small slim bottle, capped with a cork, in front of David and a second in front of Daniel.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “What’s this?” David asked.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “My mother’s oil of lavender,” he said. “My gift to you for praising it and for you very generous nature. I send much of my money to my mother. This month, I will send more than usual.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “How neat,” Daniel said. “Thanks. I’ll use it.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “You’re both welcome, sirs. Enjoy your breakfast.” He left and walked toward the kitchen and passed Tom LaBorde, who approached the table, showing no bulge in the front of his pleated woolen blend slacks.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “A check pattern in your slacks, your sweater. Say what about your undershorts?” Daniel said, joking with Tom. He sat next to the window.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Looks good. I like ham a lot.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 Daniel raised his arm and caught Emanual’s eye. He approached the table. “Do you want the same we’re having?” he asked Tom.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Sure, sounds good,” he said, as he placed his napkin on his lap and nodded his head to Emanual. Emanual poured coffee for Tom then walked away again.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 David knew his erection had diminished and was amused that the pretty girls had taken his mind of the serious problems he and Daniel faced. He was not certain how to commence the conversation with Tom. He had gone over and over the sequence of events and he kept coming back to the scene in the next compartment. Danny is naked, except for his shorts, open at the fly, he’s tied around his ankles, wrists and has a mouth gag and his eyes are covered with a sash.
Ivy Walls, Book 6He ate a few bites of eggs and spread marmalade on his toast. Emanual held David’s shoulder, gently pushing him to one side as he set Tom’s plate in front of him.
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 “Anything else, sir,” he asked. “Juice? Milk?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “No thanks,” Tom said, glancing up at Emanual and smiling.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 Good looking guy. He looks too young to be mixed up with these thugs though. David watched Daniel finish the ham on his plate and eat the last of his eggs. He used his napkin on his lips and sipped coffee.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “You ate fast,” David said. “I’ve hardly had time to touch my eggs, the ham looks perfect and I must say the marmalade is superb.” He glanced at Tom, who smiled back at him and nodded.
Ivy Walls, Book
6 “Two eggs, two pieces of ham, two pieces of toast, two jars: one filled with marmalade and one with jelly. Twins,” Daniel said, as though sparking a revelation. and all the while, smiling at David and Tom.
Ivy Walls, Book
6 Twins! Twins? The thought sped express through David’s brain. Twins! He looked down at his plate and did a hurry-up thought process. Two coffins, one on the train, the second coming onto the train, two guys, both blonde, tied up. One completely naked, the second, Danny, stripped down to his undershorts. Twins. Two. “Only there was one big difference.”
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 “What did you say?” Tom asked.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 Daniel continued sipping his coffee. “What’s going on, Dave?”
Ivy
Walls, Book 6 He stopped eating and looked at Daniel. “This is really serious. Now I know that Tom had nothing to do with it.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Nothing to do with what?” Tom asked, sounding confused.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 David ignored Tom’s question and stared at Daniel with a stark expression. “This is bad. Real bad.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “What for God’s sake. What are you talking about?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 David lowered his voice and bent forward toward Daniel. He motioned for Tom to come closer. “This is worse than I thought. It means the following. Someone, some group, people...want to abduct Daniel, but what makes things worse is that they would have killed you except for one thing,” he said, pushing his finger into Tom’s chest.
Ivy Walls, Book
6 “What? What one thing?” Tom asked.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “What are you talking about?” Daniel asked, and leaned toward David, his cup in hand.
Ivy Walls, Book
6 “I have been trying to figure this thing out and now I know I have it.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Hurry,” Daniel said, “before I take root in this railroad car.”
Ivy Walls,
Book 6 David shook his head at Daniel, disapprovingly. Be serious. He frowned and tapped the table with his finger as he talked and continued, “You, sir, mentioned the word twins. This thing, this idea has kept popping up in my mind and really not making sense.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “What?” Daniel asked, sounding left out.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Everything was in place. You were on the train, Tom here was on the train. They put an empty casket on the train that was not supposed to be empty—a Mr. Jamison?” David arched his eyebrows indicating he understood the entire plot. Daniel was more relaxed while Tom was scared at the words David spoke.
Ivy Walls, Book 6 They put a false coffin on the train—an empty one.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Mr. Jamison?”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Right!” David glanced at Tom, who frowned and sipped his coffee slowly. “You’re eggs are getting cold.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 Tom hunched his shoulders and said, “Go on. This whole gruesome plot scares me.”
Ivy Walls,
Book 6 Then they had a second coffin, also empty, and until I interrupted them, they were going to put it in the baggage car.”
Ivy Walls, Book 6 “Did it have a bill of lading on it?”
