Christian Education

Opportunities for Christian Education are available for all age groups during the week and at specially scheduled times throughout the year.

Adult Bible Study at Holy Trinity

An on-going study of Biblical topics, books of the Bible, or other spiritual books is led by the priest on Wednesday mornings at 11:00 a.m.

Adult Bible Study at the Dellosa's Home

Meets every Wednesday the 7:00 p.m. at the home of Bill and Diane Dellosa. Please contact Jerry Smith for details.

Children's Chapel

A special worship service for pre-school through second grade is led by a Lay Eucharistic Minister (LEM) and the Sunday School Superintendent, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. Following this service the children go to Sunday school until time for the Eucharist.

Church Keys

In an effort to incorporate newcomers into parish life, the Newcomers' committee offers a three week course, at least twice a year, for the orientation of those who are new to the parish or those who want to find out more about opportunities for ministry and involvement.

Confirmation/Inquirers Class

Preparation for Confirmation is an eight week course that is offered in the winter and spring, prior to Confirmation. This course is taught by the priest, covers the basic issues of Christianity and the Episcopal tradition. Anyone who is 15 years of age is welcome to attend. Those inquiring about the Episcopal church or Confirmed persons who wish to review what they "know" are also encouraged to come.

Education for Ministry (EFM)

The University of the South developed this four-year program of study and reflection on the Bible, church history, and theology to enable participants to grow spiritually as they discern and develop their ministries. This class convenes on Thursday nights, nine months out of the year, under the expert guidance of an exceptionally effective lay mentor. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Margaret Kennedy at (626) 914-4029 or email her at  MargKennedy@aol.com. Margaret is the Administrative Mentor and welcomes your inquiries.

Journey to Adulthood (J2A)

For Junior High and High School youth, this program provides a liturgical frame for their experience in our modern culture; celebrates their individuality and their creative potential; and instructs them in skills needed for successful adult participation in church and society.

Lenten Series

Each Wednesday evening in Lent, there is a potluck supper in the parish hall, Eucharist in the church, and back to the Parish Hall for a study program. These programs include a half-hour video followed by discussion.

Sunday School

Sunday school is provided for children pre-school through 5th grade during the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Eucharist, all year round. All children join their families in church during the announcements.
